sorry, this might be the wrong forum, but guess i have to start somewhere.... actually my question is more a 'what-is-this' one. i recently was able to pick-up a what i thought is a little piano or something for my son to play with. after looking into it (and attaching a new powercord) i had to pull it apart as nothing happened. it turned out to have a little magneto-electric motor underneath that is turning a rotating fandisk. so i cleaned everything, oiled the moving parts and off it went. however, though it is working now, i would like to know what this instrument actually is. technically it works similar to an accordion, except that electric power takes the part of having to squeeze it. branded as a 'Frontalini' it looks like 60' or early 70' maybe someone in this forum can enlighten me ? thanks a lot in advance fom

You most likely have a chord organ. These mostly date from the 1960s and sounded pretty crook. They had piano keys on one side and accordion like buttons on the others. They were mostly branded Italian made. People on ebay try and sell them as 'antique', 'rare' and 'valuable'. I learnt music on one and wouldn't have one if it was given to me!

I just became the owner of a similar unit - does it have any value at all?

__.  No, not really.   If you have a few loonies or toonies, you can walk away with one from many yard sales without having to unroll paper money.
