Reply to : upmine3..It cost ?655 including post from Italy to U.K and it took just under three months to arrive. ...Was it easy to get into contact with Castagnari? I sent an email enquiry to them about a month ago but no reply yet. Maybe I should write them a letter.PS. The Keanebox seller has replied neither.

Ha that's the one thing that annoyed me about Castagnari is their response time to simple e-mails. Just asking them a simple question takes a week for a reply and they seem to only reply on Thursdays. I get the impression they're really busy or really laid back (Or both). But it was worth the wait in the end. Oh and make sure you read their price list carefully as it's sent in Italian and you have to add 20% VAT to your final price.

Binci seem to be the same. I thought it was because the interpreter worked part time! Having said that, once you are on the same wavelength they achieve an excellent service.

What accordion do you play? I take it you've got Binci reeds installed?

Nothing as grand as you! Just an old Galanti and a pre-war Soprani, neither with Binci reeds (so far as I know)! I have been buying from them to convert Ericas because, silly as it sounds, theirs work out better value for money than the Hohner ones.
