Am now :-) If I hadn't got over my MAD, I'd love one of these - they're *fantastic* one rows. As the seller says, very rare, though I think maybe 20 or so were made (guessing!). I had the good fortune to try one out in Malcolm's workshop, and was very impressed.

Regrettably, the common-sense-pixie has grabbed me by the lapels and is beating common sense into me, so I'll have to let one of you other good people have it instead.

PS: I don't know the seller, so use common sense as you would in any ebay transaction. His description looks accurate and believable to me though, so I've no reason to doubt him.
PPS: Last time one of these came up on Ebay, Malcolm bought it!

Just a passing message that I am / was the seller of the Manning box and indeed it is / was a great instrument. As I said in my advert., it was a pity Malcom didn't get the chance to become the "Colin Dipper" of the melodeon for us, I think a quality bespoke maker would find a market today. The continuing respect and demand for Oakwoods shows that a market has developed in this country which wants something more than the ubiquitous Italian instruments, good though they are. Perhaps that market wasn't around at the time when Malcom was building - a shame all round! (shortuns)
