Contact info. at the foot of Andy NorthernMelodeon's review on the main site.

Contact info:
Sylvain V?ina and Raynald Ouellet
Accord?ns M?odie, 477 boul. Tach?Est, Montmagny, QC, G5V 1E4, Canada.
Tel. and fax: (418) 248-9503.

Couldn't find any used M?odies for sale but if you're interested in a Messervier, I just found two on a small ads site in Qu?ec. One is asking $2.6K (just south of Montreal), the other $5K (close to Quebec City), both non-negotiable.

Go to www.lespac.com, choose the category "Musique-Instruments" (under "Loisirs") and search for ad #6053150 ($2.6K with photo) or #5946677 ($5K, no photo, serious buyers only!)

Hi Hibbs21,
I have found that the really good Quebecois boxes rarely crop up used (in Quebec) because they are usually given to nephews, grandchildren etc. It looks like Steve found a good source for some used Messervier boxes, although one can only imagine that the five K box might be one of the fabled two-row boxes? I'd call M?odie (contact info in Steve's post) and ask whether they happen to have any used boxes -- perhaps someone has traded in one for another in a different key (but that's no way to get a D box). Just call and ask what the waiting period is like these days. I waited a long time for mine but it looks like they are back in production again. If you love playing one row boxes, these are really wonderful.
Good luck,
Andy

__.  My experience with the "Melodie" instruments is that they're *wonderful* instruments to play and look at.  But I'd also suggest that you contact Claudio at www.accordeonsexcellence.com in Montreal and ask them about the Beltuna one-rows.

With the caveat that Claudio seems to be charging quite a price for these, right Bruce?
